Global Recycling Day - 18 March

Every year, globally consumables are transformed from billions of tons of natural resources. At this rate, we will run out of natural resources soon. Hence it’s our social responsibility towards our mother Earth to reflect again about what we toss away – changing our thoughts about waste, by looking at it as an opportunity.

Global Recycling Day - 18 March, SriCity Nature Society

Global Recycling Day is held on March 18 every year, a day to try and realize the need for change, for which the thought process has to be changed. Governments, businesses, communities and individuals around the world, have to see recyclables as resource – not waste.

Recyclables need to be seen as a Seventh Resource apart from Earths major natural resources: water, air, coal, oil, natural gas and minerals. Which also give the natural resources a fighting chance to recover.

Without Recycling soon instead of lush green mountains, there will be heaps of our used and discarded fridges, plastic bottles, packing boxes, cars, cell phones and paper cups contributing to the growing waste mountains, which are either reduce to ashes or sent to landfill – never to be used again. Without recycling, we have no option but to continue stripping the earth of her limited natural resources.
